If I remove a contact, this give "delivery failure" when try to send email to this addresse.
Hello, We are using an hybrid setup to do the migration from POP3 to EXCHANGE smootly. To ensure that all POP3 contact are still showing into the Exchange Global Address book, I've created contact for all of the POP3 account. When I wish to move the POP3 account to Exchange, I need to disable (not remove... as I did once...) the contact and then create an Exchange mailbox. When I do this, a lot of people are not able to email the contact anymore. Even if we delete the "auto-complete" or try to email directly at email@domain.com. Exchange reply that this address is not found. To fix that, I have to remove the offline address book and sometime the autocomplete. My question is... is there's a way to "fix" that more quickly and without me to fix each address book manually ? Exchange should find that the address is not a contact but is matching a new mailbox! :( Thanks!

Hi Before removing the contact you need to get the LegacyExchangeDN and add this as an X500 address to the Exchange mailbox. Get-MailContact <name of contact> | fl LegacyExchangeDN Once you have created the mailbox add a custom address (Email Addresses tab), put the value from the LegacyExchangeDN in the Email Address box and X500 in Email type.
